Had a free day today so we went up to this lovely reserve south of Ripon and north of Knaresborough, adjacent to the village of Burton Leonard. A lovely place with superb limestone grassland, uncommon in this part of the world. the star plant was the Squinancywort a very scarce plant this far north, usually sticking to the chalk downs in the South, but thriving on the Magnesian Limestone here.
